As a Field Service Engineer you will (additional duties may be assigned):
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical equipment.
- Provide high quality client support by responding to client needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide verbal, written and on-site technical support to clients.
- Provide verbal and written technical support to clients over the phone.
- Perform remedial and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Submit weekly paperwork, maintain personal warehouse inventory and support documentation.
- Improve knowledge of the optical industry by attending company training programs, industry seminars and self-study.
Requirements:
- Must reside in either Nassau County, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, or Manhattan, NY
- Electro-Mechanical experience
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the NY Metro Area – Nassau county, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and NYC
- Optical industry experience with lens processing equipment is a major plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license & personal automobile (we will provide a car allowance)
- Must have a personal credit (not debit) card (we reimburse all business related expenses on a weekly basis)
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

The ideal candidate will have superior customer contact skills and capital equipment sales experience. Optical industry experience (selling to ophthalmologists, optometrist, and opticians) is a major plus. Experience with strong relationship building skills and entrepreneurial drive is a must! The successful candidate will have exceptional presentation and communication skills, the ability to organize, plan, report effectively, and master all aspects of our solutions and products.
As a Sales Representative you will:
- Manage leads through sales cycle
- Track leads
- Travel throughout assigned territory
- Display and demonstrate product
- Install equipment (must be able to lift up to 100lbs.)
- Represent company at trade shows
- Attend the annual sales meeting and all other company seminars
- Establish and maintain an in-home office
