Hauppauge , NY – Santinelli International, the leader in lens finishing, and 3M, based in St. Paul, Minnesota, have recently entered into a direct distribution agreement. 3M products are well known in the industry for consistently providing superior performance in torque resistance and adhesion during lens processing. These optical supplies help customers maximize edging performance, protecting the lens and reducing lens waste. Among the supplies Santinelli will now be distributing are 3M™ LEAP™ III Finish Blocking Pads, 3M™ Anti-Slip Discs, 3M™ Surface Saver™ Plus Tape and 3M™ Blue Chip Protectors.
In addition to these 3M products, Santinelli International is the distributor for a recently designed NIDEK patented 18 mm. oval pliable lens block, for edging lens shapes with smaller “b” dimensions. Due to their flexibility, these blocks adhere especially well to coated and high base curve lens. The properties of the new block and the 3M LEAP III Finishing Blocking Pads combined offer the optical industry the best solution for protecting their lens investment.
