ME-1000 Lens Edger

The ME-1000 Multifunction Lens Edger drives new levels of efficiency in lens processing and is one of the most accurate lens edgers available. It has a variety of features that most edgers don’t including 3-D Drilling which automatically adjusts the angle of the drill direction according to the lens base curve, and 3-D Grooving which creates a groove with pin-point accuracy. These technologies virtually eliminate mistakes, thereby decreasing lens spoilage and saving money.

The ME-1000’s high-wrap functionality allows you to create precision-crafted specialty products that will increase sales dramatically and lower internal remakes. Unsurpassed control over bevel type and placement enables you to handle most any Rx / High Wrap Frame combination.

• DESIGN + Software                        

DESIGN+ software has a myriad of unique functions including a feature which allows you to apply a partial groove to the lens for design purpose and for improving the appearance of the rimless lens. You can also create a partial bevel, which enables you to process “demi-rimless” frames.

Also unique to the DESIGN+, a highly fashionable facet processing can be applied to the lens outline, offering a high-value added attraction to the lens. Both front and rear facets are available, and the amount and width are adjustable. The sophisticated screen simulation provides a virtual shape of the finished lens, allowing visual confirmation of the actual result before processing.

The ME-1000 DESIGN+ processes smaller lenses with a special adaptor and matching lens clamp to accommodate new NIDEK pliable “mini” lens blocks (minimum B size: flat 17.4mm, bevel 18.4mm). In addition, the unit features a screen prompt for when the use of Mini Cup is recommended.
